Professor Allan Sibbald

Professor Alan Sibbald is the current Deputy Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University has appointed as its new Deputy Vice Chancellor. Professor Sibbald has been at the University of East London for the last five years as a Deputy Vice Chancellor, with responsibility for research, outreach and infrastructure.

Prior to moving to UEL, Professor Sibbald was at Napier University for 20 years holding a number of posts, culminating in his appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computing. Professor Sibbald has an international reputation for his own research in Civil Engineering; he has published widely, with a strong record in achieving external funding and supervisng PhD students.

He is currently the Deputy Chair of the NHS National Services Scotland Special Health Board and has served on a number of national committees, including the Institution of Civil Engineers UK Council
